Project Overview

Ode to My Sweet Little Pupils

Glory Be

You are all beautiful,

Each and every one

All are special to me,

All gifts from God.

Each of you different,

Each one-of-a-kind

Imperfect, yet perfect,

In ways so sublime.

Your beautiful faces,

Beaming bright

Your innocent souls,

Radiant light.

Your joyous shouts

Fill the day

Giggles and laughter

All the way.

Little arms, ready to hug,

Hold you tight: unconditional love.

Your playful antics,

Silly and sweet

Never-ending,

Scampering feet.

Gaping-toothed smiles

In every grin

Two opened-wide windows

That let sunshine in.

Each a reflection

Of God’s wonder and might

Each a special delivery

In God’s sight

Innocent and sweet

I wish you could stay

But big, soon you’ll be

And on your own way

Bigger and bigger,

With each passing day

Soon going to work

Instead of outside to play.

So treasure every moment

Of every day

Because innocent babes

You know you can’t stay.

Your inquisitive sweetness

Forever in my heart

Evermore, there,

Never to part.
