SMAS Saint Peter Students have won the Crime Scene Investigation Competition at Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR)
Praise be to God, the Almighty Father, for the students of SMAS Saint Peter have made another outstanding achievement. Three students grade XII Science: Ricky Pratama Soehardy, Vanya Aurelia Budiman, and Vederik Suwondo, gain the second runner up in the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) competition held by Parahyangan Catholic University in Science Fest 2022.
In the competition, which has been held offline at campus of UNPAR's Faculty of Information Technology and Science, participants are challenged to solve fictitious murder cases by applying mathematics, physics, and informatics. In the preliminary stage, participants seriously solve various cases, look for clues, and logically answer the given challenges by measuring, calculating, and thinking, as well as analysing rationally and logically at posts scattered in the UNPAR Faculty of Information Technology and Science campus area. Not only that, in the final stage, participants are also required to present their findings and analyses in front of other participants and judges which consist of lecturers of mathematics, physics, and informatics branches who actively teach at UNPAR.
The struggle has been done by SMAS Saint Peter Students who have left Jakarta at 4.30 A.M. finally pay off with the victory of the Yakiniku Team as representatives of SMAS Saint Peter, who successfully defeat other teams from various schools spread across various cities, such as Semarang, Surabaya, Bandung, etc. Hopefully with this proud achievement, SMAS Saint Peter Students can be motivated in studying at school, especially in the field of science and technology.
